Acqua Sorgente: the in-person event on 13 December, a moment for discussion and sharing

On 13 December 2025, the first in-person event of the Acqua Sorgente project took place in Milan. This important gathering brought together members, collaborators, researchers, partner organisations and individuals interested in water and spring protection issues.

The meeting was a valuable opportunity to gather and share testimonies and experiences from the local area, brought by members who contribute to the project through surveys, local initiatives, collaborations with schools, and study and internship programmes. The voices from different contexts provided a rich and detailed picture of the work carried out, highlighting the value of active participation and collectively built knowledge.

Alongside local experiences, the event facilitated discussions with experts in water, the environment and citizen science, who offered insights into the role of participatory research in understanding, monitoring and protecting water resources. Scientific and educational presentations helped to explore the significance and prospects of the project within a broader environmental and cultural context.

The day ended with an open discussion dedicated to ideas, expectations and possible future developments for Acqua Sorgente, confirming the importance of dialogue between the local area, the community and research.

The event on 13 December was not only an opportunity for discussion, but also a chance to reflect on and promote the shared journey, strengthening the sense of community that drives the project and laying the foundations for future activities.
